Intro background

Electric Vehicles

Electric vehicles (EVs) run on electricity only and are powered by rechargeable batteries. Consumer benefits include savings on fuel and maintenance costs and a reduction in local air pollution as compared to traditional gasoline vehicles. Since EVs run on electricity, they are powered by Nashua's electricity grid, which includes solar, wind, and hydro, reducing pollution even further. The City of Nashua sees the transition to EVs and more renewable energy sources as a key strategy to a more Livable Nashua.
